I was heartbroken over the Mexican Pizza being discontinued from Taco Bell due to sustainability issues. But I’m not one to give up. I am continuing the fight to get it back on the menu. In this project, I researched and found that people who hashtagged #mexicanpizza on Twitter are just as heartbroken as I am. Based on this I came up with the insight that restaurants removing menu favorites feels like a breakup. So as a comeback campaign I created a series of tweets and Instagram posts showing the story of break up to make-up. I also came up with the concept of Taco Bell advertising on Tinder, with the Mexcian Pizza looking to find “the one,” of course leading the user to onboard the Taco Bell app. Mexican Pizza come back!
