During a Brandathon competition, a startup comes and asks for a re-brand within 48 hours. In this case, it was Buzzoms, a clothing company for full-chested women. They felt they were lacking a strong story for their brand. Their founder, Marshay Clarke, mentioned in our first meeting that she wanted full-chested women to go braless all the time, she wanted a revolution. That’s where the story was.
Together with my team, I wrote a manifesto, created a tone and voice persona (the honest girlfriend), and wrote product descriptions to match with all the new guidelines. We also established a social media strategy, planning promotional giveaways at certain milestones, and even created a custom playlist on Spotify that exemplified the brand. All in all, it was a productive weekend. Oh, and it was the winning project for Brandathon 33.
